Dream of a Lifetime

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

My cousin-in-law left for the US this morning. She was granted three-month training at her office all expense paid. This was a dream come true for her, she have always wanted to go to the United States but the thing is, she just had my cousin’s baby last January and she was torn in leaving for the US to fulfil her long-time dream or stay with her new son. She first decided not to go, she just can’t bear to be away with my nephew and she doesn’t want to leave him even at the care of her own mother and her husband. But my cousin saw how she really wanted to go, so she convinced her that their baby will be well taken care of and they will often chat through web cam so that their baby can still see her often. It’s a once in a lifetime dream and it is not everyday that an opportunity like these come knocking at your door and my cousin understood that so he convinced her wife to pursue with her dream. She left in tears and although she’s happy to set foot in the US, she’s sad to leave her adorable baby behind. Her first stop is in New York and her office arranged for Newark Airport Transportation so that she won’t have to huddle against the cab drivers and she can come to the city with ease.

Clearance Sale

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

My mom was so thrilled that most malls are holding their midyear clearance sale and yesterday she went shopping for some stuff for the house. She bought new curtains, throw pillow cases and a new center piece decoration for our living room. She also went shopping for new kitchen utensils and she was so happy to snatch a bargain at those buy one take one specials at the mall.

Unbearable Pain

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

I’m still not feeling well but I’m slowly getting by… I’m starting to get irritated, I just feel pathetic. Imagine being sick for almost one and a half month now and it seems I still have to count more days. There’s nothing new in my life except for new doctors that I’ve been forced to see. At thirty years old, I have a cardiologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, nephrologist and rheumatologist I underwent several medical examinations in just a month time and the pain is oftentimes unbearable. I just wish it could be over real soon and I can somehow go back to my life, whatever’s left of it.
