Not Really Sick

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

*sigh* I’ve been trying to stay away from my laptop and I’m not really in the mood for blogging just yet but sometimes I feel writing is my only friend, this is where I can unleash all the sentiments that I’ve been trying to hide. I don’t really talk about my lupus with my friends and all the frustrations and disappointments it’s causing me because I just know they wouldn’t understand. Why? Because I don’t look sick at all. You take one good look at me and you will find no trace that I am suffering from lupus, I’m not sure if having this invisible disease is an advantage. Of course, I don’t want to look miserable and ugly but I hate always have to explain to people why I can’t do that or why I can’t go there or why it hurts to walk that far. I try to act as normal as I can be, the last thing I need is to look awful and sick but I may try to pretend like I’m not sick but deep inside I feel weak and exhausted. Sometimes I feel like shouting at the top of my lungs and just whack my head off, it might just wake me up from this dream, that maybe I’m not really sick.

Thrilling Rematch

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I’m not a big boxing fan but I do enjoy watching boxing along with my cousins. We always try to catch every big fight of our favorite boxers and my cousins residing in the US even go to Las Vegas to watch the boxing match of their favorite boxers. I only got to watch on TV and now, our TV cable is offering pay per view of special boxing matches of celebrity boxers. I also got to watch on a live telecast in a cinema and it’s almost like the real thing because the people watching or so concentrated and you will hear the noise in every punch, downfall or just about anything that’s happening at the arena. It’s pretty exciting and since it’s live, there’s so much anticipation on who’s going to win and how the match will end. By Knock-Out, draw or by decision, it’s truly exhilarating.

My cousins are looking forward for the rematch fight of Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya, they got to watch their first encounter last May in Las Vegas and it was said that it was one of Golden Boy Promotions most valuable fight and they are set to win big money again with their rematch on September. I’m quite sure Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Oscar De La Hoya tickets for the said fight will sell like hot cakes so there’s no harm in reserving those tickets as early as today. The upcoming rematch will sure be a treat for all boxing fan.
