Lupus Strikes Back

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

After all the excitement from last night and all those planning and cooking really made me tired. I was in high spirit yesterday and very hyper. It just felt good to do something wonderful for my mother and it’s also great to be able to be united with our old friends from our church after the “falling out” last night was also a restoration and dreams come true. It felt wonderful to be surrounded by people you respect and care so much about, it’s also felt like I am being welcomed again to be in the service of the Lord’s ministry. Am I ready for that? I’m not sure, but I was praying to come back for such a long time and I was just waiting for God’s call again. It was a long and fulfilling day, and this morning I paid for it. Lupus suddenly reminded me that I am not normal and I should take it slowly. My body felt sore and my feet are swelling like crazy, and yes I think I won’t be able to walk for quite a few days and it’s annoying but what choice do I have. Arrghh, the unpredictable disease strikes again!

Heart of Gold

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Aside from the surprise birthday party that I threw for my mother last night, I picked out a very special gift for her. My mom loves to give me jewelries for my birthday and she often told me that gold are a treasure worth keeping, it is also an investment that she wanted me to value because she said that they will last a lifetime. It’s long lasting and will stand the test of time, a kind of treasure that will not go weary. If only we could have bullion then maybe we can be very rich now, but one more thing about gold is that it is priceless especially when given from the heart, just like the one I gave my mother who deserves it all.

Happy Birthday Mama

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

It was my mom’s 58th birthday yesterday. We were supposed to have a family dinner at her favorite restaurant but I managed to organize an impromptu surprise party for her. Immediately after she left for work, I called a few friends mostly from our church and asked if they could help me with the cooking and inviting a few friends over. My brother and I hurried to the supermarket and picked up the cake I ordered and went home started cooking. Our housemaid was busy preparing the tools needed and my brother and his band was practicing the songs they’re gonna play at the party. Guests started to arrive early afternoon, just a few minutes before my mom got home and she was so surprised and I can see from her face that he was extremely touched and happy. My mom deserves it, she’s truly the best and I love her so much.
MAMA…

Wishing you good health and more years ahead of you.
