From Rosemarie, thank you sis…
I really should update this blog, I’m not liking what I see anymore and my blog links needs to be updated as well. I found out that most of my blog links do not link back to my site and it’s annoying. I’m not sure if I was accidentally removed or if my blog was somehow deleted but I really think it’s rude. I hope I’ll feel better soon and update this blog real soon.
Now, I’m spreading the love to my faithful readers…
Don’t you just hate the fact that the price of gasoline kept on rising? My household really tries to save on energy by unplugging unused appliances, or take public transportation if we can, convoy instead of using several cars and even walk if traveling in a short distance. But still no matter what we do, our gas expense is still ridiculously high and it’s torturing our budget. It’s bad enough that when the price of gasoline goes up, everything seems to go up as well. My credit card company offered me Gasoline Credit Cards, which have a lot of discount, perks and an opportunity to save on gas expense. I might as well, get one.

If there is one thing that I really would like to do, that is to go back to college and have another degree or probably enroll myself with some graduate studies. But with Lupus and time constraint, I just can’t do that at this time. I love to study, I have been a constant good student all my life and I always wanted to pursue my long-time dream of becoming a professional writer. Since I can’t really get in a real college or university at this time, I’m thinking of enrolling to an online college and earn my degree online. I’ve tried distant learning before and cyber education really suits me well. Hopefully, I can find time to squeeze it in soon.
I’m not feeling well today, I got a terrible headache and I feel tired. Maybe it’s the gloomy weather that’s making me feel sick or maybe it’s just a way of Lupus of reminding me that I am not normal as I want to be. I need to slow down, maybe I am overdoing myself. This is what I hate most about Lupus, the uncertainty of it all and the way it holds you back from doing the things you want. I don’t want to rant about it but there are just so many things that I need to do but today, I can’t. I need to stay in bed and rest. Hopefully, I’ll feel better tomorrow.
Everyone knows eating fruits is good for health since fruits make your skin glow and your hair healthy. But what is the best way to eat them? Is eating fruits with their skin more beneficial? Should you eat fruits before or after a meal? There are many other questions, which normally bother you. We have thus brought for you some fruit facts and tried to dispel some myths.
Apple a day keeps the Doctor away
This is very true and it does keep the doctor away. In fact apples and all other fruits, for that matter, have proven over time to do nothing but good for human beings.
It is better to eat fresh fruit
This is also true. When making fruit juice, valuable fiber may be removed. Sugar may also be added to packaged juices that are bought from supermarkets. Sugar syrup may also be added to the juices sold at hawker stalls. So, by drinking juices in place of fruit, you could gain more calories but miss out on valuable dietary fiber.
Fresh orange juice is better than frozen concentrate orange juice
This is a myth. Researchers have recently discovered that orange juice made from frozen concentrate can have higher levels of active Vitamin C than ready-to-drink orange juice. And once reconstituted, the vitamin in frozen juices may keep its potency longer. This is because Vitamin C is destroyed very easily and ready-to-drink orange juice goes through more processing than concentrates.
Yellow fruits are rich in vitamin C
This is true. The puld of yellow fruit is a good source of bioflavonoids, which can help neutralize cancer-causing substances. Color therapists say yellow foods are foods associated with the sun, and can raise one’s spirits and boost optimism. Thus eat lots of yellow fruit like bananas, grapefruit, pineapples, melons, lemon etc.
Red fruits contain vitamin A
This is true. Red fruits contain beta-carotene, the plant version of vitamin A. Fruits with a higher level of beta-carotene are redder in color. Color therapists say red fruits have a warming and energizing quality. Thus eat lots of watermelons, cranberries, red apples, raspberries, red cherries, red plums, strawberries, tomatoes etc.
Green fruits are good for your heart
This is true. Green fruits are the most vital of all fruits since they contain a chemical that protects you against heart attack and keeps your heart healthy. They also protect one against bacteria, thus reducing the risks of food poisoning and tumors. They are recommended for low blood pressure and soothing the nerves. Thus you should include avocados, green grapes, green apples, kiwi fruit, limes etc in your meals.
Orange fruits keep you fresh and active
This is true. Orange fruits are rich in beta-carotene, which makes one energetic and active all day long. It is seen by color therapists as the color of creation, and is linked to the mind and ideas. Eat lots of mangoes, apricots, oranges, nectarines etc.
People who want to lose weight can go on a fruit-only diet
This is a Myth. The body needs a balanced diet in order to be healthy. Eating only fruits will deprive the body of the necessary nutrients not found in fruits.
Popping a Vitamin C capsule is just as good as eating an orange
This is a myth. Fruits and vegetables contain numerous phytochemicals. For example, broccoli alone may contain as many as 10,000 phytochemicals. Although phytochemicals have been found to benefit the body in some ways, the safety of large doses of isolated, purified phytochemical, as found in supplement capsules, has not been investigated thoroughly. So, the best and safest source of phytochemicals is an actual fruit and not a supplement
I’m off to the couturier to fit my bridesmaid gown… my second gown for this year and apparently not my last. As much as I hate dressing up for a wedding, I had to admit that I love the colors of my gown, it’s my first time to wear turquoise and silver. I think it’s refreshing to stay away from the usual colors for a change. I’m also going to sing in this wedding, I really don’t want to but I just can’t say no to a friend, so what the heck why not embarrass myself further more. I’m not really a big fun of weddings but I’m so used to it already that I find myself liking it now and what I do adore most are the flowers, they are just so lovely.
My bride friend is getting wholesale calla lilies for her wedding and I think she made the right choice. They are just so beautiful. Don’t you think?
I have a confession. After being so active with pro-blogging, I got weary and frustrated when I lost my PR4 in here and in my Just Let Go blog, my only consolation was my Pieces of Me retained its PR3. I have to admit that I benefited so much with my high pagerank and it gave me a lot of OPP’s it inspired me so much everytime I receive payments through PayPal and I set my goal to reward myself with a laptop with my problogging money and in less than two months I was able to buy a laptop and then google suddenly penalized blogs who are into pro-blogging, that’s where I started to lose track and then of course, there’s the holidays and I got sick at the start of the year and then I got so busy with the preparation of my own business, and so on…
I don’t really know if that’s an excuse to get away from blogging but I just knew that I had to take off for awhile and get in touch with the real world (which I did) and now, slowly I am getting back on track I do miss blogging, and although I’m not that too keen anymore with pro-blogging I’m still into it, I mean I who would decline some moolah anyway… But I think I need to set some new goals and find some inspiration again to blog. I do miss blogging, but since I write better when I’m sad I’m having a hard time right now… why?? because, I am surprisingly happy and I’m not even sure why. I am suppose to be sad and miserable, after all I just ended a 10-yr relationship with someone I thought was the one for me but I don’t know if the pain hasn’t sink in yet or I’m just okay with or maybe I’m just numb about it… nah, I don’t know! What I do know is that I finished updating my two blogs and I just created a new blog “Blessed Chic” and now, its time to update this blog…
